Using Demo_336_UsrManagement as an example

Preface

For this example, a fictitious distillation level and delivery station were used. The example is not intended to represent real-life production.

The basis used for this description of a password management is the project entitled "Demo_336_UsrManagement". This contains examples such as access to individual pages as well as pages for password management.

Realisation of password management was split into five functions:

1.User management, to call up a screen for creating and editing users.

2.Displaying a user, for opening a window where all users known at this HMI are listed.

3.Logging in a user, calls up a screen on which a user can log in.

4.Change password, calls up a screen where a user can change his or her password.

5.Logging out, is used for logging out of the current user.

The following actions are used to demonstrate access types via the user management:

1.Exiting system, exits the application environment to navigate to the system level.

2.Plant maintenance, opens the ficticious page for creating a plant.

3.Operate plant, opens the ficticious page for operating a plant.

4.Delivery, opens the ficticious page for delivery.

All other objects can be accessed freely and are not password-protected.

All control objects with the exception of the change of the language environment, the display of system information and the setting of screen brightness have an access level allocated to them. This means that executing them requires a user with the respective access level being logged in. Log in a user via the centre left action object called "Logging in a user".
