If not already shown, open the "Address Book".

 

Click on Fgr_OpnConfig  to turn to configuration mode.

 

Click on

 

Fgr_MnuBtnAdd

 

to set up a new connection.

5.3.1 Establishing a connection:

 

To set parameters for the new connection, click on

 

Fgr_BtnOpnDetails

 

on the right-hand side.

 

The editing dialogue of the connection will pop up.

5.3.2 Buttons:

 

The buttons of the editing line listed individually:

Parameterisation buttons:

Fgr_MnuBtn_Primary

Allocates the (Main connection ) status to a connection.

Each device can only have one main connection.

Fgr_MnuBtn_Fallback

Allocates the (fallback connection ) status to a connection.

Each device can have several fallback connections.

Fgr_MnuBtn_Normal

Identifies a connection as a (Normal connection ).

Each device can have several normal connections, but these are not automatically established.

Editing buttons:

Fgr_MnuBtnDelete

Deletes the current connection from the address book.

The connection will be deleted without further questions.

Fgr_MnuBtn_Copy

Copies the current connection with its parameters.

This is useful for providing another connection with individual changes to the parameters.

Fgr_MnuBtn_Edit

Opens the connection parameter screen.

Fgr_MnuBtnAdvanced

Opens a dialogue for further settings (expert modus).

Symb_ExtKaptlExpand fallback connection

Symb_ExtKaptlExpand Normal connection

 

 

5.3.3 Parameterization:

 

Use the parameterisation screen to set the connection parameters.

 

Fgr_Mnu_ConSettings

 

Click on the down arrow Fgr_BtnOpnDetails on the right hand side of the "Type"selection field if RDP has not already been selected.

Select "RDP" as connection type by clicking on it.

 

Fgr_MnuNewConSettingVNC

 

Allocate a descriptive name to the connection in the "Name" field.

 

Fgr_MnuNewConSetRDPname

 

If access to the connection requires authentication at the VNC server of the remote computer (login, password), enter these in the "Login User Name" and "Login Password" fields.

The VNC server is addressed in the "Server Address" field. Enter the name of the server or its IP address here.

Es möglich die Server IP-Adresse mit der entsprechenden Port Nummer zu erweitern.

 

Beispiel:

192.168.1.23:5900

Der hier angegebenen Port muss

mit der Festlegung des Ports in der VNC-Server Konfiguration überein stimmen !

Die Zieladresse des Host-PCs muss sich in demselben Netzwerk befinden wie die des Thin Client bzw. muss diese von dort aus erreichbar sein !
