There are three ways available to create fault messages.
Variant 1)

• | Click the symbol of a fault message. |
• | Press the right mouse button. |
• | Select the menu item "New" in the context menu. |

Variant 2)

• | Click the symbol of a fault message. |
• | Press the shortcut "Ctrl.+I" |
Variant 3)

• | Click the symbol of a fault message. |
• | Select the menu item "New" |

• | The basis dialogue of the fault messages is displayed. |

Description of properties:
Name:

Name which can be selected freely for the fault message
|
Accept the proposed name for the fault message or change it. The name can also be changed later.

Message text:
|
Text displayed when activating the fault message.
|
Enter the requested text 1) of the fault message in this field.
|
Group:
|
For improving clarity, fault messages can be assigned to different groups.
|
Fault messages can be assigned to groups. This assignment improves the clarity of the project. Furthermore sorting and copying according to groups is possible.
|
Comment:
|
Arbitrary comment for information purposes.
|
Information regarding the field can be entered in the comment field. Comments are used for explanation purposes in SPSPlusWIN
|
Process connection:
|
Information on the planned process connection
|
The process connection shown provides information on the address used by the variable.

The length of the fault message depends on the target device.

OPTIONS area:
In order to enable the horn and the lamp, have been reserved which you can program via the "System > Configuration > Target device" dialogue.
