Input fields are place holders for digital variables, analog variables or strings.

 

Use Tools toolbar to create such input / output fields.

 

Tools toolbar:

Click the symbol for an input field in the cicon2 Tools Toolbar.

The mouse pointer changes to the selected symbol. cursor inputfield

 

Position the object on the image.
Press and hold down the left mouse button and drag a field having the requested object size.
In the image, the field is marked with a frame and editing handles for modifying its size.

hor_arrow

modifies the width of the selected object

ver_arrow

modifies the height of the selected object

45_arrow

modifies the height and width of the selected object

 

 

Release the left mouse button again.
The dialogue including the field properties is displayed.

Access restrictions

Allocation of access authority 0, 1, 2 or 3

Using the access authorization, inputs can be password-protected.

Level 3 is the highest access authorization. Level 0 permits access to each user without entering a password.

Comment

Arbitrary comment for information purposes.

Information regarding the field can be entered in the comment field. Comments are used for explanation purposes in SPSPlusWIN.

Color

Normal

Specifies the foreground and background colour attributes which are activated if the variable value is between the upper and lower limit values.

upper limit

Specifies the foreground and background colour change when reaching the upper limit value.

lower limit

Specifies the foreground and background colour change when reaching the lower limit value.

Variable

multiplex

When selecting this option, the multiplexing tab is displayed.

In this tab, all specifications for multiplexing variables can be determined and/or modified.

Type

Digital, analog or string

Use the pull-down menu to specify the type of the variable to be displayed.

Name

Selects or creates a variable.

Use the pull-down menu to select an existing variable or to create a new one.

Btn_Dialogoeffnen

Opens the dialogue including the properties of the variable.

 

Process connection

Information on the programmed process connection

The displayed process connection provides information on the address used by the analog variable.
