Integration of a DP Slave in Step 7

Easy Profibus ► Integration in Step7 ► Integration of a DP Slave

Open the hardware configuration of your S7 project and highlight the master system.

(The master system is highlighted by a continuous black line).

Now add a new object to the master system.

This can be done with a right mouse click

or via the drop-down menu.

A new window will pop up with the hardware catalog selection.

Click on "Additional Field Devices".

Another window will pop up containing the following directories:

Now click on the directory "MMI" and a further window will open containing the GSD file.

Double-click on this entry. A window will open entitled "Properties - PROFIBUS interface" for the EasyProfibus.

In this window, which also shows the master system used, you have to define the address that applies to the operator interface.

The DP slave is now integrated into the master system and must be defined further.
