For indicating the condition of a process parameter, a symbolic output in the form of a graphic can also be used instead of a numeric representation of the variable value. When using the symbolic output, the value and/or value area is also presented as graphic. Using a graphic, you can visualize, for instance, conditions of machine system elements. The variable values are assigned to symbolic graphics by means of graphic lists. Graphic lists are always to be used for indicating the actual value.
