Successive values of a variable can be displayed as a Line in a line chart. In a diagram, several graphs can be displayed simultaneously and in different formats. Recording can be done using the time, the number of values or the variable. Furthermore it is possible to assign several graphs in a diagram to two different, scaled y-axes.

Example of an application with a line chart:

Expl_CurvesApplicated

For the sample application the following picture objects were created:

Note:

Objects:

Gauge

Obj_ZeigerInstr

Display of the current variable value "AV_Instrument_1".

The value range for the Gauge was specified as -100°C to +100°C.

bar chart

Obj_Bargraph

Display of the current variable value "AV_Bargraph1".

The value range for the bar chart was specified as 0 to +100.

Graphic lists

StlBtn_StartOver StlBtn_Stop

To start or stop updating the line chart.

Invisible touch buttons were programmed via the graphic lists. These control the update function via "Setting a bit" or "Resetting a bit". They also control which picture of the graphic list is displayed via "Decrementing a variable" or "Incrementing a variable". For information on how the control variable values are allocated to the images, see right

These limits ensure than only permitted values can be set.

Touch buttons

Pfl_Stahl_Links Pfl_Stahl_Rechts

Use to scroll in the graph data.

The touch buttons have the "Decrementing a variable" or "Incrementing a variable" programmed to control the scrolling direction.

Pfl_Stahl_Rechts

Pfl_Stahl_Rechts_over

Scroll one to the right.

Touch buttons

Pfl_0_Links Pfl_0_Rechts

Use to specify the degree of zooming

The touch buttons have the "Decrementing a variable" or "Incrementing a variable" programmed to control the degree of zooming.

Pfl_0_Links_over

Zoom degree plus one.

Pfl_0_Rechts

Pfl_0_Rechts_over

Zoom degree minus one.

Line chart

Obj_CurveGraph

Used for output of variable values "AV_Instrument_1" and "AV_Bargraph1".

The graph for the values of the Gauge is of the "Line" type and associated with the Y1 axis.

The graph for the bar chart values is of the "bar" type and associated with the Y2 axis.
