Addressing

Easy Profibus ► Fieldbus-Bridge ► Adressing

The DP slave participant is addressed within profibus either via the Fieldbus-Bridge itself or via the operator interface. For this, the two S3 and S4 rotary switches are used.

Addressing via the Fieldbus-Bridge:

The station address (DP-slave participant address) is set in hexadecimal format. The following selection of switch settings defines the corresponding addresses:

Please note that you may only use addresses from 3 to 254 !

Addressing via the operator interface:

Set address FF at the Fieldbus-Bridge so that addressing can be done via the operator interface.

Subsequently you may enter the DP slave adderess in the operator interface menu.
