Encryption mode (CRYPT):

Transmission is byte-oriented, where individual bytes are transmitted in encrypted form.

In order to decrypt the bytes in the ET-2x8 or ET/MT-3x6 a special driver (name="Card Reader") is needed. From SPSPlusWIN version 5.01.22 it will be part of the standard delivery.

When being used with other devices and / or applications, a key is required for the plain text display of the data. This will be given to you once you have signed a confidentiality agreement.

Access to Sector 2 data also requires a key.

The application must support the use of the keys.

ASCII modus (ASC):

Transmission is in the form of serial ASCII characters. The data can be read with any application (like an text editor) directly.
