Video

Use the video menu to select a video interface (video signal type) and access other calibration options.

	Information field for video signal type	Future field with information on the selected video signal type (AUTO, DIGITAL, ANALOGUE). At present, this information is only issued via the ADVANCED settings.
	Button for the selection of the video interface	Future button for the direct selection of the video interface (AUTO, DIGITAL, ANALOG).
	Touch button for calibrating the Analogue video signal	Tap on this touch button to calibrate the analogue video signal. All video parameters of the analogue video signal will be matched and calibrated. This is only necessary if the existing analogue signal does not meet your requirements. The calibration phase is indicated by means of a corresponding message (pop-up window) at the Thin Client. Requirements for calibration: - a static image without any movements or animations
	Touch button for ADVANCED settings	Use the ADVANCED touch button to access the advanced options for analogue video settings.

Advanced video settings (ADVANCED):

Use the advanced video settings to set and change all parameters of the analogue video signal.

R. STAHL HMI Systems GmbH recommends you retain the default values, since they have been automatically matched for an optimum setting.

If manual settings are necessary after all, you must ensure that the screen contents of the host are static.

Changes can be made to the video parameters of the analogue signal via the slide controls or the input fields of each sub-parameter. Either save changes with the SAVE button or discard them with the CANCEL button.

We recommend you click on the AUTO buttons of each video parameter to identify and achieve the optimum settings. Click on CALIBRATE ALL to match and set all video parameters.

Currently, the most important selection field in the advanced video settings is the VIDEO SOURCE field.
Use this field to specify the video signal type, which must correspond to the input signal or the host PC's video signal type. If the wrong video signal type has been chosen, no image will appear on the Thin Client.

Video:

The line shows the current video resolution of the host screen.

Opens a dialogue window where you can define individual video resolutions for the host screen. Generally, you will only rarely need this to define video resolutions that the system doesn't recognise automatically.

Controller object for fast and gradual adjustment of the associated control object.

Controller functions:

	Button for gradual reduction of the current setting by 1.
	Controller button for fast selection of a value.
	Button for gradual increase of the current setting by 1.

Display and input field for the value of the current control object.

Button facilitates automatic identification of the optimum value for the control object.

Threshold

For setting the threshold value for video interferences. This value determines the identification of a video content change. It must be set so that it is above the video signal interference, but must also be small enough to capture minor image changes.

Reduce the value until the value of "Display Activity" increases significantly. Then increase the value by 1-3 points.

Phase

For the optimisation of the phase position between host video setting and remote video setting.

Horizontal Position

Specifies the horizontal position of the host screen on the Thin Client screen.

Vertical Position

Specifies the vertical position of the host screen on the Thin Client screen.

Brightness

Red

Specifies the brightness value for the colour value "red".

Specifies the contrast value for the colour value "red".

Green

Specifies the brightness value for the colour value "green".

Specifies the contrast value for the colour value "green".

Blue

Specifies the brightness value for the colour value "blue".

Specifies the contrast value for the colour value "blue".

If the video signal type has been set to AUTO, the KVM-box automatically identifes and selects the respective video signal. This should be the preferred setting for all cases and is also the factory setting.

The video signal identification should only be changed from AUTO to ANALOG or DIGITAL in the case of problems during the stand-by mode.

The video signal identification has been set to ANALOG.. There must be an analogue video signal for an image to appear at the Thin Client.

The video signal identification has been set to DIGITAL.. There must be a digital video signal for an image to appear at the Thin Client.
