This field contains information on the physical connection version (USB or PS/2) of the mouse.

Information field for screen resolution

when using USB

This field contains information on the currently set screen resolution of the host PC which relates to the mouse pointer.

This information is only displayed on the 48 cm (19") devices and is only relevant for the wide screen mode. On the 38 cm (15") devices, the buttons for CALIBRATE and RESYNC are visible, but greyed out and therefore without any associated function.

Touch button for selecting screen resolution

when using USB

Use this touch button to accept the screen resolution of the host PC in wide screen mode for the 48 cm (19") Thin Client and to determine which resolution refers to the mouse pointer.

This button only exists for the 48 cm (19") Thin Clients. The

38 cm (15") devices, the buttons for CALIBRATE and RESYNC are visible, but greyed out and therefore without any associated function.

Each time the touch button is pressed, the screen resolution changes in the specified areas and is also shown in the Y-SCALING field.

The following screen resolutions can be selected for the wide screen mode:

None (Factory setting, standard, 1280 x 1024)

1280 x 720

1280 x 768

1280 x 800

1280 x 854

1280 x 960

Only change the factory setting if there are any problems with synchronising the local mouse pointer and that of the host PC.
In this case, select the screen resolution that the host PC uses for the wide screen mode.

Touch button for

calibrating (CALIBRATE) when using PS/2

This calibration function is only necessary for a connected PS/2 mouse.

You need to carry out this calibration at the first start-up of the system (Thin Client, KVM-box and host PC).

Here, the routes of the connected pointer devices are synchronised.

Requirements for calibration:

- a static image without any movements or animations

- there must be no icons or other images in the left upper part of the host PC's screen that could trigger a pop-up or a tool-tip window.

- Animated mouse schemes may not be used.

Touch button for

re-synchronisation (RESYNC)

when using PS/2

Because of the PS/2 functionality, the mouse signal of the Thin Client needs to be synchronised with that of the host PC from time to time.

This must be actively initiated, either via this RESYNC touch button or via the menu item (RESYNC. MOUSE POINTER ⇩).
