The HMI's X2 and X3*1 terminals provide an Ethernet 100Base-TX or 1000Base-TX interface.

Select a screw terminal that provides the shortest distance to the connection!

Make sure that other connections do not cross!

Select a screw connection that tightly encloses and seals the cable!

Unscrew the retaining screws of the cable fixation at the cable holder.

Unscrew the screws of the cable fixation of the screw connection as far as necessary.

Unscrew the lower part of the screw connection.

Slide the cable fixation of the screw connection over the cable.

Slide the cable through the sealing sleeve.

The sealing sleeve can remain inside the screw connection.

Slide the cable through the screw connection at the cover.

Strip the insulation from the cable down to the required length.

In the case of shielded cables, unbraid the braided shield.

Pull the braided shield over the cable so that it can later fit into the cable holder (4.1).

Strip 7-10mm insulation of the required cable.

Crimp core end sleeves onto the individual wires.

Terminate the individual cables at the plug according to the above terminal assignment.

Screw the cable holder onto the plate of the connections.

Insert the plug into the terminal connector of the connection.

Use the screws to fix the plug to the terminal connector.

Screw the cable fixation with inserted cable onto the cable holder.

If there is a shield, place this between cable and cable fixation.

Make sure the shield maintains a secure contact to the cable fixation.

5e

Pull back the cable so that the insulation extends past the cable fixation by at least 6 mm.

Make sure the wires are not taut and can be moved freely.

 

 

 

Cover mounting:

 

1. Guide the cover towards the cover enclosure.

 

2. Pull back the cables until they lie tension-free inside the cover enclosure.

3. Screw the cover onto the cover enclosure.

 

4. Slide the sealing sleeves of the screw connections into the screw connections at the cover.

 

5. Screw the lower part of the screw connections into the screw connections at the cover enclosure.

Tighten the screw.

 

6. Check that the cables fit firmly inside the screw connection.

 

7. Tighten the screws of the cable fixation to ensure the cables are not subject to tensile stress.

Check that the cables fit firmly inside the screw connection.
