Devices of the ET/MT-xx6... series can be ordered with an optical fibre or copper Ethernet connection. Below is a description of the different versions:

This interfaces provides an Ethernet connection for the HMI.

The Ethernet connection is established via the SK-KJ1710 or the SK-KJ1740 interface converter, using the following cable:

The MT-RJ plug is used to connect the optical fibre cable to the SK-KJ1710 or the

SK-KJ1740 media converter.

Cables connected to the Ethernet terminals (X11) must have a minimum cross section of 0.2 mm² (metric) (AWG 24).

Which cable cross sections are chosen should be decided on the basis of relevant regulations, such as DIN VDE 0298 . Factors that might require a larger cross section, such as current, increased temperatures, cable bundling, etc. must also be taken into account.
