The X5 terminal at the HMI provides a 100Base-TX Ethernet interface. For the required connections please refer to the following instructions:

Select a screw terminal that provides the shortest distance to the connection!

Make sure that other connections do not cross!

Select a screw connection that tightly encloses and seals the cable!

Unscrew both screws to remove the lid of the terminal box.

Unscrew the lower part of the screw connection.

Slide the lower part of the screw connection over the cable.

Slide the cable through the sealing sleeve.

The sealing sleeve can remain inside the screw connection.

Slide the cable through the screw connection at the enclosure.

Strip the insulation from the cable down to the required length.

!!! We have already done this for you with our standard cables !!!

In the case of shielded cables, unbraid the braided shield.

Latest now, slide heat-shrinking tubing of a length of 3-4 cm over the cable.

Solder the shielding braid together with a green/yellow cable of 1.5mm2 sufficient length.

Shrink the heat-shrinking tubing at the cable end so that it fully covers the shielding braid.

Crimp a suitable cable lug onto the end of the green/yellow cable.

Strip 7-10mm insulation of the required cable.

!!! We have already done this for you with our standard cables !!!

Crimp core end sleeves onto the individual wires.

Screw the green/yellow cable onto the bar for the equipotential bonding.

Terminate the individual cables according to the above terminal assignment.

Pull back the cable until it lies tension-free inside the enclosure.

Push the screw connection's sealing sleeve back into the screw connection.

Tighten the screw connection at the enclosure.

Check that the cable fits firmly inside the screw connection.

Screw back the lid of the terminal box.
